Berhampur Police Rescue Two Missing Girls from Utkal Balashram

Berhampur,(09/03/2026):In a swift and successful operation, a dedicated team from Gosaninuagaon Police Station has rescued two minor girls who had gone missing from the Utkal Balashram in Berhampur.
The matter came to light on the evening of March 5, 2026, when Smt. Sasmita Rani Padhi, Superintendent of Utkal Balashram, reported that two girls (aged 12 and 7) had scaled the facility’s rear boundary wall and fled between 3:20 PM and 3:40 PM that afternoon.
Both children originally hail from the Ramnagar area of Parlakhemundi, Gajapati district.
The Rescue Operation;Acting on the report, a special police team was immediately formed to track the missing minors.
Following an intensive search and the activation of reliable local intelligence networks, the team successfully located and rescued both girls on the evening of March 7, 2026.
The girls were found safe in Sidamadam village, under the jurisdiction of the Paralakhemundi Police Station in the Gajapati district.
