Puri Police Busted Rs 1 Cr Inter-State Cyber Fraud, 3 Arrested

Puri,(06/03.26): In a breakthrough against cybercrime, Puri Police have dismantled an interstate racket that duped victims of nearly Rs 1 crore by offering fake business opportunities.
The operation was cracked during “Operation Kavach,” a special drive launched to target cyber fraudsters.
Acting on intelligence, the Puri Cyber Police Station arrested three accused named Ahmed Topan from Tamil Nadu, Abdul Aziz Sheikh from West Bengal, and Sushanta Kumar Parida from Balasore. Investigators revealed the trio used more than 80 fake SIM cards and multiple bank accounts with no transaction limits to run the scam.
The fraudsters operated under the name “Speeding Exim,” creating anonymous accounts to siphon off money. Police seized 15 ATM cards, 15 SIM cards, six mobile phones, and seven cheque books during the raid.Police sources said further arrests are likely, as more individuals may be linked to the racket.
