Odisha Security Forces Major Success; Two Maoists Killed In Encounter During Anti-Naxal Operation In  Kandhamal

Kandhamal,(23/02/26):Security forces achieved a major success in Odisha’s anti-Maoist drive after two cadres, including a woman operative, were killed in an encounter in Kandhamal district.

Addressing to scribes in a press conference, ADG (Anti-Naxal Operations) Sanjeeb Panda,IPS said the gunfight took place during a combing operation in the Nandabali Reserve Forest under Raikia police limits.

 The deceased were identified as Jagesh, deputy commander of the KKBM division, and Ratna, a woman cadre. Both hailed from Sukma district of Chhattisgarh.

According to panda, Jagesh carried a bounty of Rs 22 lakh, while Ratna had a reward of Rs 1.65 lakh.
