Violence Concerns at Running Real estate Business one detained by Police

Berhampur,(19/02/26):Nimakhandi Police arrests one person for riot and violence in connection to running real estate business in Berhampur city.
According to police on 18.02.2026 at 10.45 PM on the written report of one N Gangadhara Ptara (60), a case has been registere at nimakhandi police station, ,U/s-191(2)/191(3)/324(4) /333/296/115(2)/109(1)/351(2)/190/303(2)/BNS RW Sec 25(1-B)/25(1)(a) Arms Act.
During investigation, the matter disclosed that the complainant N Gangadhara Patra (60) is running a real estate office in his village G Jagannathpur.
One Monmohan Panigrahi (40) s/o Late Prakash Chandra Panigrahi of Lanjipalli and others were looking after the office and assist him in his plotting business. Accused persons Ch Sisir Patra and his brothers were also doing plot business. There was acute ill feeling between both groups relating to a land.
Based on the Complainant Mr.N Gangadhara Patra (60), Nimakhandi. police arrested one person named as;Biki Patra (27), S/o- Ch Darshan Patra of village G Jagannathpur with seizure of One Lathi, One Iron Rod..
Factually, On 18.02.2026 at 07.15 PM while Monmohan Panigrahi was working the office, N Dipak Ranjan Patra son of the complt. were present in the office. At that time accused Ch Sisir Kumar Patra, Ch Dipak Kumar Patra, Ch Biki Patra and others formed an unlawful assembly armed with Lathi and Iron rod entered the office and abused Dipak Ranjan Patra in obscene languages. While they protested accused persons damaged the glass door of the office. Accused Biki Patra (27) has been arrested and forwarded to the Hon’ble Court today and further investigation is going on.
Further police added Hon’ble court has given the stay order on the dispited land and directed to maintain status-co.
