Blood Donation Camp Organised by UAIL; 100 Units Collected

Kashipur, 19/2: A voluntary blood donation camp was organised by Utkal Alumina International Limited (UAIL), a subsidiary of Hindalco Industries under the Aditya Birla Group, located in Doraguda under Tikiri in Rayagada district.
At its Township Club premises in Nuapada, with the noble message that “blood donation is a great donation,” the camp was organised by the UAILs CSR department. A total of 100 volunteers donated blood during the programme.
The camp was formally inaugurated by Unit Head Rabi Narayan Mishra and President of the Utkal Alumina Mahila Club, Prabhamayi Mishra.
Dr. Gautam Pattnaik and his team from the Odisha Blood Centre, including Saroj Kanta Acharya, B. Kishore Kumar and others participated in the blood collection process.
Senior officials including Unit Head Rabi Narayan Mishra, Prabhamayi Mishra, CSR Head Lopamudra Mishra, GM Public Relations & Corporate Affairs Pitambar Behera, Plant CSR Head Diganta Mahanti, Process dept. head Uttam Giri, CSR team members Rupen Pattnaik, Health Centre Doctor Rajendra Mandal, Subash Chandra Nayak, Kartik Sahu and Ashish Kumar Sahu, along with several other staff members, were present and encouraged the donors.
On the occasion, a pledge was also taken to ensure that no one should lose their life in the future due to a shortage of blood.
