Baripada,(31/01/26):i Satyaban Giri, Former ASI of Police, Jharadihi Police Out-post under Tiringi Police Station, Dist-Mayurbhanj (Retired) who was charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance in a case vide Balasore Vigilance PS Case No.04 dt.27.01.2021 U/s 7 PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 for demanding and taking bribe Rs.9,000/- from a liquor vendor in exchange of allowing his business run smoothly, was convicted by Hon’ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Baripada and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 3 years and fine.
Odisha Vigilance will now move the competent authority for stoppage of pension of Sri Satyaban Giri, Former ASI of Police, Jharadihi Police Out-post under Tiringi Police Station, Dist-Mayurbhanj (Retired) following his conviction.
