Incredible Feat by Gajapati Police to Strangulate Theft Series Goons

Paralakhemundi,( 05/01/25):-At Gajapati district a series of theft done since last 6 months. That boiled Gajapati Police to search those miscreants. Still they could break the ice by nabbing 2 culprits.
As per information on 12-12-2025 at Batagouda street junction of Paralakhemundi in Dwijendranath Padhi veteran journalist’s home around 8 to 10pm those goons entered through skylight at bathroom.
They broken almirahs & stolen gold ornaments & cash of ₹25000.Similarly on 22-06-2025 at S.Sandip’s shop cum residence in between 10.30pm to 12.30am same theft done, where they stolen 10kgs of silver & 3 tolas of gold. Subsequently on 22-12-2025 at Korada Narayan Rao’s residence of Kumuti street of Paralakhemundi those culprits stolen 2 silver lamp sockets (1kg) & 1 silver bucket(500gms) with cash of ₹40000.Not the least under Gurandi Police limits at MNPeta village from T. Labakumar ‘s home they stolen ₹90000 to 1 lakh cash,2 tolas of gold ornaments, silver cup & silver ornaments weighing about 3 tolas with 1 copper vessel.
In all thefts house owners were away from their respective homes.Case 135/22-06-2025, case 400/13-12-2025 & case 421/27-12-2025 registered at Paralakhemundi Model Police Station. Similarly another case 138/20-11-2025 registered at Gurandi Police Station.A team led by Paralakhemundi Model Police Station IIC Prasant Kumar Bhupati started investigation.
One staff of TPSCOL named Durga Prasad Benia of Kandara street of Paralakhemundi,working as meter reader used to do his duty on day time & at night started his undercurrent stealing at homes where doors locked.He had been supported by Deba Mandal.
They were at ease to enjoy at costly hotels as their base with those stolen gold & other ornaments by mortgaging & even roamed by Harley Davidson bike.Their undercurrent strangulated by district police team.From them gold ornaments of 10 tolas out of which 2 tolas released from Muthoot Finance Ltd, cash of 33000,silver ornaments of 9 kgs costed about 25 lakhs,2 mobile phones,2 2-wheelers one Harley Davidson bike & a scooter, with house lock breaking hand screwdriver, crowbar. Remaining 2 tolas of gold that mortgaged at Indian Overseas Bank will be released in due course.Banks are informed to keep those ornaments at their custodian.
This is an impeccable feat by Gajapati Police to chase such burglary crime.
