Antisocial Biki Patra arrested by Berhampur Police Charge of Demanding “Dadabati”(!)

Berhampur,(2nd Dec): based on the strength of Complainant Deepak Kumar Swain (23), of village Baulaghai, PS-Hinjili.. Berhampur nimakhandi police arrested one antisocial ,Ch,Biki Kumar Patra @ Viki Patra (28), S/o-Darshan Kumar Patra of village G. Jaganathpur, Ganjam.In Context, Nimakhandi police registered a Case on dated 01.12.2025 U/S-308(4) BNS.
In a Release police stated that, On 01.12.2025 based on the report of complaint The case was registered and investigated into; During investigation, it was found on 01.12.2025 at about 7.00 AM, Deepak Kumar Swain was going to Bhabinipur by driving a tipper loaded with morrum near Palli Gaan Chawk , Bikki Patra who is an antisocial in locality, restrained him and demanded “Dadabati” of Rs 1000/- putting him fear in order to extortion. While he refused to give “Dadabati, accused abused him filthy languages and assaulted him. He further threatened that if the complainant comes in this route he will kill him. Out of fear the complainant fled away from the spot.
Accused person Ch.. Biki Kumar Patra @ Viki Patra (28) was arrested and forwarded to the Court today Further investigation going on.
