UAIL and District Police Administration join hands for cyber safety campaign

Rayagada, 13/11: Utkal Alumina International Ltd, (UAIL), a subsidiary of Hindalco Industries under the Aditya Birla Group organised a Cyber Safety Campaign -2025 at itsNuapada township club house today.
The session was inaugurated by Mr. Gourahari Sahoo, SDPO, Rayagada, who highlighted the increasing vulnerability of people to online fraud and digital insecurity. Mr. Abhinash Reddy, Inspector, Cyber Cell, Rayagada, who was the resource person and conducted an informative session covering critical aspects of cybercrime prevention. His presentation focused on identifying cyber frauds, understanding password protection, adopting safe online practices, and detecting fraudulent activities on social media platforms such as WhatsApp and Facebook.
To encourage engagement and strengthen awareness, an interactive quiz session was organized at the end of the programme, where participants enthusiastically took part and shared their experiences.
Among the dignitaries present were Ms. Kiranbala Samal, IIC Doraguda, and Ms. Biswabandini Bag, IIC Tikiri. From UAIL, Mr. Paramjit Singh Bajwa, Mr. Vijay Chauhan, Ms. Lopamudra Mishra, Mr. Girja Panda, Mr. Anil Patra, Mr. Pitambar Behera, along with Mr. Diganta Mohanty and Mr. Manoj Dash also graced the occasion.
The programme was successfully coordinated by the IT and CSR teams of UAIL, reaffirming the company’s commitment to promote digital literacy and safe online practices among employees and the local community.
