NTPC Talcher Kaniha Celebrates 51st NTPC Raising Day

Talcher,07/11.25:NTPC Talcher Kaniha celebrated the 51st NTPC Raising Day with great enthusiasm on 7th November 2025. The day commenced with an official ceremony at the Administrative Building, where Shri K. Narasimha, ED (Talcher Kaniha), hoisted the NTPC flag, cut the ceremonial cake, and released balloons to mark the occasion.
In his address, Shri K.N. Reddy highlighted NTPC’s journey, emphasizing its national achievements and notable milestones over the past year at NTPC Talcher Kaniha.
Later, employees gathered at the Plant Auditorium to watch the Honourable CMD, NTPC’s speech, broadcast live from the corporate office. Following the guidelines of the Ministry of Power, Government of India, the patriotic song “Vande Mataram” was played to celebrate 150 years of its composition and instill a sense of national pride among everyone.
The morning also featured a Walkathon, in which a large number of employees actively participated. Following the walk, a tree plantation drive was conducted, during which saplings were planted across the Kaniha to enhance greenery and contribute to a sustainable environment.
The program was attended by Shri Ch. Satya Rama Krishan, CGM (O&M), Shri Sumit Kumar Kundu, GM (Maint. & ADM), Shri Samarpita Dewasi, GM (Project), Shri Navneet Kumar, Head of HR, along with other NTPC senior officials, employees, CISF, and members of the union and association.
As part of the Raising Day celebrations and awareness activities, several competitions were organized leading up to 7th November. These included a drawing competition for children, a rangoli competition for women, and a puzzle/quiz competition for all employees, based on various NTPC themes.
