Berhampur Police organised special edition of “Sundays on Cycle”
As a part of Fit India campaign
Berhampur : Department of Sports Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India through it’s Khelo India program directed all the State Police to join the campaign of Fit India Mission through – ” Sundays on Cycle ” campaign
Hon’ble Prime Minister in the 117th episode of Mann Ki Baat, reaffirmed the importance of promoting health and wellness through regular physical activity. In this spirit, the FIT INDIA mission proposed to organize a special edition of the Sundays On Cycle campaign on 24th August 2025, in collaboration with “State Police” across the Country with support in spreading the campaign message: “Fitness ki Dose, Aadha Ghanta Roz”.
In view of the above Berhampur Police organized “Fit India Cycling Drive” “Sunday On Cycle” on 24th August 2025.
Based on the direction of DGP Odisha , 30 Police personnel of Berhampur Police including SP Berhampur, sergeant , 10 Havildars and other constables took part in the event. All 30 persons rode their cycles starting from SP Berhampur office to Gopalpur and returned via Kamalapur and Ankuli back to Berhampur.
