FIVE ANTISOCIALS ARRESTED BY BAIDHYANADPUR POLICE FOR ROAD RAGE

Berhampur : Acting in a tip- Off Baidyanathpur Police staff promptly acted and could able arrested  five  anti socials  based on written comp  one Mr.Pritam ChandTripathy  (24) S/O Late Ashok kumarTripathy of village Lanjipalli P.S B.N.Pur with immediate effectur police registered a case     B.N. Pur PS Case No-419, Dtd.20.08.2025 U/S 126(2)/296/115 (2)/117(2)/351(3)/3(5)   BNS /25/27 Arms Act 1959and taken the case for serious action. Inspector in charge Ms. Suchitra   a Parida and her team started probe into the Case.On20/08/2025.

On 20.08.2025 at 11.38 P.M based on the written report of Complainant Pritam chand Tripathy (24) s/o Late Ashok kumar Tripathy of village LanjipalliP.SB.N.Pur, dist.Ganjam .IIC B.N. Pur registered PS Case No- 419 Dtd.20.08.2025U/S 126(2)/296/115 (2)/ 117(2)/ 351(3)/3(5) BNS /25/27 Arms Act.

In continuation of investigation, police seized one Renault Turbo Motor Car bearing Regd. No. OD-02-BQ-9622. Subsequently Police apprehended accused persons Lingaraj @ Rinku Samal (23) S/o Late Dhiren Samal of Sriram Nagar, 6th Lane, Berhampur. During  interrogation he confessed his involvement and disclosed the names of his associates who had jointly committed the offence on the day of occurrence. It was found that on 20.08.2025 at about 05:00 P.M accused persons, all belonging to PS Badabazar were moving around Berhampur town in the Turbo Motor Car driven by accused-cum-owner Debasish Mishra. While proceeding near SBI, Lanjipalli, the accused persons obstructed the complainant Pritamchand Tripathy and his friend Uttam Mahanty over a dispute relating to overtaking of vehicle. The accused persons abused them in obscene and filthy language in public view. Thereafter, they jointly assaulted both the complainant and his friend by means of stone and broom, causing visible injuries on their persons.

During the assault, they also threatened both the victims with dire consequences instilling fear of death in them. It is further revealed that due to intervention of local people present nearby, the complainant and his friend were rescued from further assault. The accused persons, however, fled away from the spot in their vehicle while again issuing threats to kill the complainant and his friend in future.

 As there is prima- facie evidence U/S 126(2)/296/115 (2)/ 117(2)/ 351(3)/ 3(5)BNS/ 25/27 Arms Act 1959 is well established
