Puri Jagannath Temple Admin recommends stricter legal action against offenders

Puri : With the frequent trespass with cameras, mobiles and other photographic tools into the Srimandir premises, Puri Jagannath Temple Admin is going to initiate stern legal proceedings against the offenders.

The SJTA in a significant meeting held today, resolved to recommend the Odisha government to initiate cognizable cases against the lawful offenders who carries electronics equipment, draws photographs illegally and flies drone above the Shree Jagannath Temple.

According to SJTA Chief Administrator Arabinda Padhee, proposals following today’s meeting, have been sent to the Law Department & the state government for partial amendments in the Shree Jagannath Temple Act to introduce cash penalties along with Rigorous Imprisonment for the offenders.

Once the amendments are executed, the laid down proposals are incorporated in the Shree Jagannath Temple Act and approved, it will be strictly implemented here for a robust safety & security of the shrine, Padhee added.
