WHOLESALE MARKET SHIFTED TO UDITNAGAR GROUND AFTER SEALING

ROURKELA:After finding new positive case in power house road local administration has declared this as red zone and the containment zone has been extended. Because of these new changes, the wholesale market which now comes in red zone has been shifted to Udtinagar parade ground looking at its space. Almost 200 shops including, potato, onion, vegetables and fish shops are opened there and they have already started its operation. Although we are taking very slow steps toward corona, but strict vigilance and working on Govt. guidelines to prevent corona is all important.
As per the new guidelines all vegetable shops, fish and non-veg items will be sold only three days in a week. People of Rourkela are all supportive and except few incidences where social distancing is not maintained near nov-veg items is a matter to take a note. Now days few markets are opened as allowed by local administration and it is helping the people to get their things without any difficulty. There are many a shops who are not yet allowed to open, pushed them under stress and apprehension about their business operation. The way corona patients are increasing in Odisha unwillingly, lockdown may increase, people opine. This spike in corona positive has happened because of the migrant laborers who had come from Surat and West Bengal. Statistics may go up once the new migrants’ making entry to Odisha, which is expected today. Almost 6000 approx migrants will be reaching, is a great challenge in front of the administration but the Govt. is all confident to handle it, says senior officials. Sundergarh Collector has invited all party meeting in Sundergarh where Kusum Tete, local MLA has given a proposal to ask the industrialist and mines owners to appoint local laborers and migrant laborers who are returning home from outside state. In this district all big industries are available like RSP (SAIL), NTPC, MCL and many mediocre industries. Truly this is a good proposal and it has to be done in a phase manner but time will say how it is going to work.
