Elon Musk’s Tesla To Launch Its EV in India by April
New Delhi : Tesla CEO Elon Musk is expected to launch the sale of his EV in India by April this year.
These EV cars of Tesla will be imported to India from the company’s Berlin plant, reported CNBC-TV18, quoting sources.
According to reports, Tesla plans to have showrooms in Mumbai’s BKC business district and Aerocity in New Delhi.
The company plans to introduce an electric vehicle priced under $25,000 (around ₹21 lakh) for the Indian market, the reports said.
Tesla has not decided upon manufacturing its EVs in India. But it has plans to increase component sourcing from Indian OEM suppliers. According to CNBC-TV18, this sourcing is expected to cross $1 billion by 2025.
