DRM, RAYAGADA INSPECTS RAYAGADA-KORAPUT-KIRANDUL SECTION

Rayagada (Badal Tah): Amitabh Singhal, Divisional Railway Manager(DRM) of Rayagada Division, conducted inspection of Rayagada-Koraput-Kirandul section, which focused on ongoing infrastructure development activities.

Singhal conducted window trailing inspection from Koraput to Kirandul, examining key safety features comprising tracks, signalling systems,  and ongoing infrastructure works. He also inspected National Mineral Development Corporation(NMDC) mining site at Kirandul & had discussion with senior NMDC officials to explore the ways so as to enhance the loading of rakes per day and addressed important operational concerns. In addition, he reviewed the progress of Rapid Wagon Discharge Silo System (RWDS) at Kirandul. 

On last Thursday, Singhal inspected Rayagada Railway Station, where he assessed various station amenities. He interacted with Railway staff to understand their work. He also reviewed the ongoing infrastructure activities on Rayagada-Koraput section, including doubling works. Notably, he inspected Major Bridge No. 156, an Open Web Girder Bridge, the longest on the Koraput-Rayagada line, spanning 228.5 meters with five individual spans of 45.7 meters each, wherein he suggested corrective actions.

Singhal urged the accompanying officers to prepare detailed action plan and closely monitor it’s implementation to ensure timely achievement of goals.
