Nanda festival is organized by Club The Young India

Rayagada,(Badal Tah): Nanda Utsav was organized by Club The Young India Rayagada with pomp & ceremony at Rayagada Lions Club. Rayagada Sub-Collector Kalyani Sanghamitra Devi inaugurated the event as chief guest and encouraged the tiny tots who participated in the competition as Krishna replica. This club has been conducting such programs for last 17 years. Children from 30 educational institutions took part in the celebration, while more than 50 students dressed in Krishna attire sang and danced.
 
Club The Young India President Surend Sahu, Vice President Y. R. Rao, Secretary Deepak Kumar Prusty adored the stage. Prabhakar Mishra, Suryanarayan Mishra and Pinky Rath participated as judges and gave scores to the children. The judges gave marks on the basis of children’s dance and answers various questions asked to them about Krishna. M. Megha Yadav was awarded as the first winner, Anshita Mohapatra as the second and EV Sanpad as the third winner, while other 10 contestants were given consolation prizes. On this occasion, club Treasurer C.H.Vijay Mohan, Project Chairman N. Venketramana, Members M. Ravi, Raku Sindhi, Apa Rao, Jami Gouri Prasad were present and contributed meaningfully to the program. Lastly Secretary Deepak Prusty extended vote of thanks.
