Portion Of Road On Dumuduma-Aiginia Flyover Caves In
Bhubaneswar: Panic gripped commuters in the state capital on Monday after a portion of the Dumuduma-Aiginia Flyover road caved in trapping a mini truck for hours.
This incident on the capital’s main road has prompted various quarters to raise questions, with some locals pointing fingers at the NHAI authorities.
The mini truck was travelling from Bhubaneswar to Khurda on Sunday afternoon when the mishap took place. The truck’s wheel fell into the pothole and remained stuck for hours.
On receiving the information, NHAI officials and representatives from the construction company that built the road arrived at the scene and pulled out the truck from the huge pothole. Fortunately, a major accident was averted as the truck was not loaded with cargo.
