Theme “Save Environment” emphasized at IMFA

Rayagada,(Badal Tah) : Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd at Therubali showcased a series of impactful events aimed at promoting environmental awareness and sustainability. The celebrations, held at IMFA underscored the company’s commitment to environmental stewardship and employee engagement.
 
The event commenced with a vibrant speech competition, inviting employees to share their perspectives on this year’s theme, “Land Restoration, Desertification,  Drought Resilience.” Participants passionately articulated the importance of environmental conservation, shared innovative ideas for sustainable living and highlighted the role of individuals and corporations in protecting the planet. The speeches were judged by a panel of environmental experts and winners were awarded certificates and eco-friendly gifts.
 
Prior to this an awareness program and speech competition was organized for the family members of the employees at Gopabandhu Nagar and all participants were awarded with mementos.
 
Ashok Kumar Bhoi,  Regional Officer , State Pollution Control Board, Regional Office Rayagada graced the occasion as chief guest and advised all to engage in protection of the environment accompanied by Ripu Kumar Sahoo, Assistant Engineer(Environment), Gouri Dash, Assistant Scientist (Environment),  Prabhudeb Behera, Assistant Engineer(Environment) and other officials.
 
Following the competition, IMFA organized a large-scale tree plantation drive within the company premises and all the guests including Executives and Employees enthusiastically participated in planting hundreds of saplings of indigenous species. This initiative is part of IMFA’s ongoing efforts to enhance green cover and promote biodiversity. Asish Kumar Ray, Vice-president  & EIC of IMFA Therubali addressed the gathering emphasizing the company’s dedication to environmental sustainability. “At IMFA, we believe that environmental responsibility is integral to our business operations”, said Ray.
