Tanvi Sangam Ladies Club, Kaniha organises Cultural Carnival 2024
Bureau, Odishabarta(26-02-2024) : Annual fair of Tanvi Sangam Ladies Club,Kaniha, was organised on February 24 and 25 at Sports Complex ground. Christened, Cultural Carnival 2024,the fair was inaugurated by Shri A. K. Sehgal, HOP, Kaniha in august presence of Shri Ch. Satya Ramakrishna , GM(O&M), Shri J. P. Roy, GM(Project-Talcher Thermal), Shri B K Pandey, HOHR, Smt. Renu Sehgal , President, Tanvi Sangam, Smt. Bipasha Dev, President , Sagarika Ladies Club, Talcher Thermal Project, members of Tanvi Sangam, representatives on unions and association and other dignitaries .
The celebration began with lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries. Release of colourful balloon and cutting of cake marked the occasion. The dignitaries were taken around the stalls run by the members of Tanvi Sangam .
Addressing the gathering, Smt Renu Sehgal, President, Tanvi Sangam give a brief outline of the welfare activities undertaken by the Club and thanked everyone for their cooperation and support in organizing the Cultural Carnival.
Smt. Renu Sehgal handed over a cheque of the one lakh rupees to Angul Blind School. The Club also presented three sets of school uniform for the students of Maa Bhairabi School . Shri A. K. Shegal, HOP, Kaniha, Shri Ch. Satya Ramakrishna, GM(O&M) and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
Themed on Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ meaning ‘the world as one family‘, the carnival generated excitement and enthusiasm among the Township residents who thronged the mela ground in large numbers crowding the food and games stalls.It was fun time for the children who enjoyed taking rides and slides.A lively cultural presentation added melody and colour to the evening event.
