Four persons who were begging money by acting as physically challenged and deaf and dumb arrested by Berhampur Police.

Accused persons have been identified as Ajya Kumar (28), S/o-Suresh of Misirpur, Jalalpur, Jamalpur, Paudhan Rampur, PS-Akhanda Nagar, Dist-Sultampur, Uttarpradesh, 2.Anil Kumar, S/o-Ramlal of Semour, PO-Pardha, PS-Mau, Dist-Mau Nath Bhanjan, Uttarpradesh., 3.Mero(32), S/o-Phatelal of Kisindashpur, PO-Podhan Rampur, PS-Akhand Nagar, Dist-Sultapur, Uttar Pradesh, 4.Jaswant Kumar(20), S/o-Dinesh Kumar if Misirpur, Jalalpur, Jamalpur, Paudhan Rampur, , PS-Akhanda Nagar, Dist-Sultampur, Uttarpradesh, according to police On 20.02.2024 at 03:30 PM when BNPur Police team were patrolling ASI B.Sunasagada , SI B.B.Sethi, ASI G.G.Jena, OAPF-102 A.Gamango & constable Kanha with other PS staff noticed two persons begging money from general public at Kamapalli Traffic chhak as deaf, dumb and physically challenged. Out of suspicion Police detained two persons and on through interrogation they disclosed that they are normal person and physically fit, but to gain sympathy and for wrongful gain they asked money by acting deaf, dumb & physically challenged. He along with his associates had come from Uttar Pradesh and were living by the side of NH-16 and his two other associates were begging money at TATA Benz Chhak. After getting the information police team rushed to TATA Banz chhak and there also he noticed that two persons begging money to the general public by acting. All the four persons fraudulently and dishonestly deceived the passerby and collected money by showing themselves as with abnormal physical conditions.

As prima facia evidence U/S- 417/419/420/34 IPC is well established against the above noted accused persons, the accused persons were arrested and forwarded court. Further verification and investigation is going on regarding their previous character antecedents and whether they are involved in any robbery or burglary cases
