Attack-Counter Attack; Mithun & Lipu Killed in Ganjam

Ganjam,(Kabisurya Nagar: A man along with his brother-in-law was killed following a group clash in Ganjam district on Monday.
The violent incident took place of the district today.
Acting on a tip off, police rush to the spot .Police investigation reveal that, on preliminary stage of the incident , it has come to front that two persons Mithun Bhuyan and his brother in law Lipu Swain went to the house of the Janaki Bhuyan Monday evening with a pistol.
They fired three rounds in front of the house of Janaki Bhuyan to threaten for dire consequence to Janaki Bhuyan and his family. Then, they left the place.
After some time again, they went to the house of the Janaki Bhuyan and started abusing and assaulting Rohit Bhuyan and Janaki Bhuyan. Both sustained head injuries.
In a counter-attack, Mithun Bhuyan and Lipu Bhuyan were also attacked as a result they also sustained head injuries.
Both of them were grievously injured and were admitted at Kabisuryanagar Hospital in a critical condition. Later, they were shifted to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital for treatment. However, both of them died while undergoing treatment at the government-run hospital.
During course of subsequent investigation it has come to notice that Mithun Bhuyan is having minimum 7 cases against him including the offence of murder, extortion, dacoity, rioting, and attempt to murder, arms act, and explosive act. There is nothing political in the incident,(?),Police said.
Police have seized the pistol, 7 rounds and 1 empty cartridge from the spot.
Deceased Mithun Bhuyan 29 son of Kalia Bhuyan of Sunarijhola and Lipu Swain 26 son of Nanda Kishore Swain of Nuagada under Hinjilikatu PS.
On suspicion police have detained four persons including Rohit Bhuyan and Janaki Bhuyan.
Earlier as alleged by the family members, Mithun Bhuiyan and Lipun Swain of the village were attacked with sword by over 10 people following past political enmity.
Further investigation is underway on in the case.
