3.7lakh needed to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro

TALCHER:Miss Bibharani Patra, a young lady mountaineer’s aim on hold due to financial crunch. This youth icon has a dream to climb Africa’s tallest mountain i.e. Mount Kilimanjaro. It is the highest mountain in Africa and the highest single free-standing mountain above sea level in the world: 5,895 m (19,341 ft) above sea level and about 4,900 m (16,100 ft) above its plateau base. It is the highest volcano in Africa and the Eastern Hemisphere.
Miss Bibharani Patra has won several prizes at National and International level. She will be one more mountaineer to get this success for Odisha. But for the moment she is facing financial crisis.
Total amount of Rs 3.7lakh needed for her trip. She is not in a position to pay this amount and urged everyone for support.
She belongs to a lower middle class family. Father runs a small shop in Meramandali village. She has one younger sister and mother is housewife. Only income source is her father’s small business.
It is very difficult for her father to run family with low income. Despite it she able to vision a big dream.
Miss Bibha has won Gold and Silver medal in National Muathai championship held at Hyderabad, Dehdradoon and Kashmir. She has won Gold & Silver medal in State level kick boxing championship held at Bhubaneswar. She also won Gold medal in state level chikondo championship. In 2019, she represented India at World Global Youth Leadership Summit held in Dubai.
She also represented India in Bangabandhu Adventure Festival held in Bangladesh. When it comes about mountaineering she has achieved a lot in this area. She has participated many mountaining camps organized at National level.
It will be a great success not only for her but also for entire Odisha and India. This will be a international success. Now it’s time to watch whether anyone will come forward to help her.
