Joint Massive Excise Raid by Ganjam & Berhampur Police

Ganjam/Berhampur: Ganjam Police and Berhampur police conducted massive raid at many places in Ganjam and Berhampur Police district in association with Excise department. on Monday.
According to information the raid has been conducted by the direction of superintendent pf Police of Ganjam and Berhampur.
The team ascertain detected many hiding at many places as well as transporting contraband Ganja from one place to another place.
According to Ganjam Police the Badagada police,While SI SB Sahoo, ASI RK Sahu, GB Panda,BD Bhuyan and SS Sethy were conducting MV checking at Ghungi temple chowk under Badagada Police limit they detected and seized a white colour pick up van bearing regd No-OR 07P 0401 loaded with 280 kgs of contraband ganja in plastic gunny bags was coming from Mohana side and proceeding towards Sorada side.
The accused persons identified as; Kuber Badakanhara(34 yrs), s/o- Dhanurdahara Badakanhara, of Village ,Birikote, PS- Adava, Dist- Gajapati.All have arrested and forwarded to the Hon’ble court.
Similarly the Digapahandi Police under Berhampur Police district conducted joint excise raid was conducted on Monday along with excise staff at Baniamari village and Luchapada village under Digapahandi PS.
During the raid 11400 litres of mohua wash was destroyed and 409 litres of I. D liquor was seized . In this connection two accused persons were arrested.
The arrested persons are; .Bipra Mallick (50) S/o late Indra Mallick and Padmana Mallick (55) S/o late Sukura Mallick both of village Baniamari,Digapahandi PS.Te duo forwarded to Court.
