Berhampur,10/07/23:On a tip of information Gosaninuagaon Police team conducted raid over the rented house of Tara Prasad Rath located at Metro Apartment, OMM Vihar Gosani nuagaon in presence of Sri Chitrasen Dalei,Asst Collector cum Executive magistrate and other witnesses. Police detected and seized three huge jerry bags containing total 84 Kg 325 Gms contraband Ganja and weighing machine.
During the search of the house two other associates of Tara Prasad Ratha, of Goutamnagar,KoraputTown presently staying at House No-1,Metro Apartment,OMM Vihar and other two namely Debashish Nayak@Pinku(26yr) of Sakti Nagar 4th line,Chatrapur Dist-Ganjam and Vinod Kumar (29yr)S/O- Mahaveer Singh At-Ratanpur PS-Rajagharh ,Dist-Churu State-Rajasthan were present there.
During investigation Taraprasad Ratha disclosed that he has been staying on rent in this room since last six months by taking the said room on rent from Bighneswar Padhy of Goilundi ,Berhampur at the cost of Rs. 6000/- per month. Taraprasad Rath and his friend Pinku @ Debashis Nayak were purchasing Ganja from one Dulu Sahu of Baliguda and selling the contraband Ganja to Vinod Kumar and others. They together procure the Ganja from Kandamal and Gajapati and made the said house as godown for transporting the same to Surat and Delhi for their clandestine business by transporting the Ganja by train. The materials used for weighing, sealing and packing of the Ganja have been seized from them.
House is sealed. The house owner will be detained for questioning. House owners are warned not to give house on rent to unknown people of suspicious character All three accused persons are arrested and forwarded to the Court.
