Two Held On Truck Theft Charges by Berhampur Police

Berhampur:In a breakthrough to Berhampur Bada Bazar Police sleuths arrested accused in a Truck theft case Police it recovered the vehicle from the possession of accuse person from spot.
Berhampur Bada Bazaar police station sleuths have arrested as many as two persons in an alleged truck theft case.
On the basis of the complaint Smt. Sasmita Das (35) W/o Nilamadhaba Padhi of 1st Gate Aska Road PS Badabazar Dist Ganjam ,and a case has been registered a case at Badabazar P.S. Case No. 237 dt.05.07.2023 U/s 379/34 IPC and began investigation.
After pertinent efforts, the police busted a truck theft two members Satyajit Mohanty (28) S/o- Braja Kishore Mohanty of Vill- Dadhapatna P.S- Baranga Dist- Cuttack. And Asish Sahu (19) S/o- Late Sudam Sahu of Asarada P.S-Balimi Dist- Dhenkanal.
According to Police, on 05.07.2023 the above noted case was registered on the report of complainant regarding theft of her truck bearing registration no. OD-07-B-7774 which was parked in front of the rented house near 1st Gate Aska Road Berhampur. The stolen truck was recovered and seized from the above accused persons who stole the same from the spot and were caught by the Police.
Team and members of Truck owner association at Bhanja Nagar. Earlier, the accused persons are involved theft of Truck Tyers, Wheal Discs, different engine parts and Diesel of parked trucks. They were arrested in two cases under Sambalpur and Cuttack Districts. Both the accused persons found involved in recent truck theft case under Chamakhandi PS of Ganjam Dist. in Case No.139 dt.02.05.2023U/s 379/34 IPC. The accused persons have been arrested and forwarded to Court today. Investigation of the case is in progress.
