EXPERIMENTAL STOPPAGE OF TRAINS AT TIKIRI AND SINGAPUR

Rayagada, July 6: Keeping demand of the public of this region in mind, Railway Board has decided to provide stoppages for two minutes each to express trains on experimental basis till further advise to Train No. 18005/18006 Howrah-Jagdalpur-Howrah Samaleswari Express at Tikiri station and 18517/18518 Visakhapatnam-Korba-Visakhapatnam Korba Express at Singapur Road station.
Train No .18006 Jagdalpur-Howrah Samaleswari express will stop at Tikiri station with effect from 05.07.2023 and in return direction the train no. 18005 Howrah-Jagdalpur Samaleswari express will stop at Tikiri with effect from 06.07.2023.18006 Samaleswari Express will arrive Tikiri at 09.00hrs and departure at 09.02hrs. 18005 Samaleswari Express will arrive Tikiri at 17.00hrs and departure at 17.02hrs
Train No.18517 Korba-Visakhapatnam Korba express express will stop at Singapur Road station with effect from 06.07.2023 and in return direction the train no.18518 Visakhapatnam-Korba Korba express will stop at Singapur Road with effect from 06.07.2023. 18517 Korba Express will arrive Singapur Road at 02.30hrs and departure at 02.32hrs. 18518 Korba Express will arrive Singapur Road at 00.30hrs and departure at 00.32hrs. This is according to a press release by Sr.Commercial Divisional Manager, East Coast Railways, Waltair Division.
This was a long-standing request by people of Tikiri, led by Utkal Alumina, for the stoppage of at Tikiri Station, which has been fulfilled by the Ministry of Railways. In the light of this decision, Utkal Alumina along with the Public of Tikiri have applauded East Coast Railways Zone and Waltair Division for their noble decision.The announcement of the stoppage marks a significant milestone in enhancing connectivity and convenience for the residents of Tikiri.
