LOCK-DOWN PERIOD SHOULD BE CELEBRATED AS FESTIVAL

Lock-down period should be celebrated as festival of discipline by taking tough public-friendly decisions by government.
LUCKNOW:UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath deserves all compliments for imposing a total ban on gutka and paan-masala in the state. Such a ban was done at most appropriate time when those addicted to these itemshad no access to these harmful items because of 21-days lock-down period, and perhaps their addiction may be auto-controlled in this period of self-discipline. Opportunity could be still better utilized by extending the ban to cigarettes and if possible to liquor also. Rather central government should impose a total ban on all these harmful items in larger interest of addicted ones and their families. Already Central government has banned e-cigarettes.
Some Islamic fundamentalists have challenged government that they would be holding Friday prayers in mosques. Strict-most action under Indian Criminal Law should be taken against such self-acclaimed religious leaders and those following them by breaking the lock-down for Friday prayers. Criminal defamation should have been filed against those who call so-termed Modi-virus being dangerous even more than Corona-virus. India should be tough to deal with such fundamentalist like was done by Myanmar, Srilanka and China.
In case Islamic fundamentalism is not controlled, then even courageous-most step to declare India as a Hindu nation with all religious freedom for non-Hindus be taken with support of countries like Israel and USA in a manner that even patriotic non-Hindus including those following Islam may welcome such a step to get rid of their fundamentalist religious leaders. It is significant that Islamic Pakistan is facing big problems in dealing with Corona because of fundamentalist Islamic religious leaders there.
