Extended State Executive Council Convention of SUJ (O) held in Semiliguda.

Sunabeda: Date: 10/04/23: Extended State Executive Council Convention of State Union of Journalists, Odisha  has been organized in Semiliguda of Koraput district.

The program was presided over by the  State President of SUJ, Kailash Chandra Nayak . Jeypore MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati attended the programme as the Chief Guest while Koraput MLA Raghuram Padal, Patangi MLA Pritam Padhi, NUJ General Secretary Suresh Sharma, Chhattisgarh State President Laxman Sharma, NUJ Secretary Ajay Kumar Sahu, Executive Body  member Babul Singh, eminent Social Activist Krushna Singh, SUJ State Vice President Kirti Chandra Sahu, General Secretary Prashant Kumar Padhi graced the occasion as Guests of Honour. Odisha Central University  Vice-Chancellor Chakradhar Tripathi joined as the Chief Speaker and discussed the topic  “Hunger Free India” . The Chief Guest and other dignitaries on the dias expressed their  views on the problems of journalists in Odisha and urged the State Govt should introduce Journalists Protection Law Act  as per the neighbouring Chhatisgarh Govt did in their state. 

 Rakesh Kumar Padhi, Head of ‘ Sakala’ Jeypore edition,Chief of ‘Prameya ‘ Jeypore edition, Prakash Chandra Das along with senior Journalist  CH Santakar, Subodh Kumar Chetty, Satya Narayan Patnaik, Muralidhar Barad ,Surjeet Biswal, Anil Kumar Subudhi, Sanjay Kandhapan, Vijay Sahu, Satish Babu, Saya Raju and Manoj Muduli were felicitated on the occasion for their outstanding contribution in the field of journalism. Similarly, Social Activist Krushna Singh, Anand Patwaniya, Jyoti Rekha Chetty, Digambar Nayak, Shaheda Parween and Paresh Rath were felicitated for their outstanding contribution in field of social work.

President of Koraput Zilla Sambadik Sangh Bidyadhar Choudhury, Secretary Tarun Kumar Mohapatra, member Shaik Ibrahim conducted the felicitation ceremony while Prashant Bisoyi proposed the vote of  thanks. Among others, Manoj Hial, Sushant Kumar Biswal, Amar Bagh, Purandar Barik, Vijay Kumar Dalei, Bishwajit Roy cooperated in organizing the programme . More than three hundred journalists from different parts of the state attended the convention.
