On 88th, Odisha Police Formation Day IGP, (S.R) Took the Salute in the Ceremonial Parade

Berhampur: On the occasion of Utkal Divas, he Berhampur Police district celebrated its 88th ,formation day of their Police system at Ambapua Police ground.
The Inspector General of Police, (IGP)Southern range Satyabrata Bhoi was the chief guest at the event and felicitated officers of their remarkable achievement and parade platoons who performed in today’s parade, while the Superintendent of Police Dr Saravana Vivek.M. presided over the grand ceremony this morning.
In his address the Police IGP, Satyabrata Bhoi said, “In the upcoming future we’ll be more productive and we’ll improve our justice system even better for the people. As common people are reaching us for help, we will reach them and support them soon.”he said.
The prime duty of police is to prevent crime and handle law & order situation while maintaining people friendly police administration. Commitment to professionalism, integrity and a strong will to uphold the law of the land without any fear or favour. Police personnel must keep their private lives scrupulously clean, develop self-restraint and be truthful and honest in their thought and deed, so that public may regard them as exemplary Citizens.Bhoi added.
The Superintendent of Police,Dr. Vivek said the police district administration has already undertaken various programmes for stress management and personality development for police officials and other employees.
The 88th Formation Day of the Odisha Police is being celebrated all over the state.
It may be underline on April 1, 1936, the Odisha Police was formed with the formation of a separate state of Odisha. The Bihar state police were separated and The Odisha State Police was formed.
On this auspicious day all ASP, DSPs, SDPOs’Inspectors including Reserve Inspector and other officials took active participation.
Among others many retired Police officers; Media Persons senior citizens were present.
