Rayagada MLA appreciates business plans of UAIL’s Project UDYAMEE

Rayagada, March 5: Rayagada MLA Makaranda Muduli, during his interaction with entrepreneurs and promoters of Udyami project initiated by Utkal Alumina International Limited(UAIL), a subsidiary of Hindalco Industries Limited of Aditya Birla Group, has applauded the efforts taken by the stakeholders namely UAIL, EDII and Regional Industries Centre(RIC), Rayagada. With a vision to transform the lives of community and to promote an entrepreneurial ecosystem in this region, UAIL has initiated project UDYAMEE in partnership with EDII. It has successfully grounded 138 enterprises at Kashipur and Thuamul Rampur area. Participating in the Business Plan Appraisal Committee meeting of UDYAMEE as a distinguished guest, Muduli has expressed the uniqueness of this project and it’s impact it has created in the lives of the community at Kashipur.
He was joined by Sri Bikash Chandra Bain, GM, RIC, Dr Lopamudra Priyadarshini, GM (CSR, CR & S), UAIL, Dr.Subrat Biswal, Director (EDII) and Sri Deepak Raj, Branch Manager SBI, Tikiri as members of the appraisal committee. The committee has approved 36 business ideas presented by the aspiring rural entrepreneurs. All the approved business ideas will be supported by project UDYAMEE for further business incubation.
Muduli mentioned that these innovative projects were not only transforming the socio-economic status of the community but also contributing towards the local economy development of this region. It would provide employment opportunities to many migrant and skilled workers in the area. He encouraged the entrepreneurs to become role models in their respective areas and motivated them to inspire other youths towards self-reliance. He acknowledged the efforts of EDII, RIC, Rayagada and all Bankers in the development journey of the local entrepreneurs.
Bain highlighted that the UDYAMEE project was one of it’s kind among the entire CSR fraternity. He stressed the importance of emerging enterprises that could tailor to the needs of the local community with market linkage and local employment.
