“FLOWER EXHIBITION” AT UTKAL ALUMINA BY UJJWAL UTKAL LADIES CLUB

Bhubaneswar/Tikiri: Utkal Alumina International Limited’sa subsidiary of Hindalco Industries Limited, core sustainable development initiatives is to protect and preserve the environment while sustaining biodiversity.It has always placed a strong emphasis on creating and supporting horticulture and greenbelts both inside and outside of its plant perimeter. In this regard, a two days “Flower Exhibition” has been organised by Ujjwal Utkal Ladies Club at Utkal Alumina on 19th& 20th Feb 2023 with various cultural program and food fest. The purpose of holding this event is to inspire our society and the public to protect and foster biodiversity in and around our surroundings.

Almost 100 varieties of Flower plants, Bonsais, Palm trees, Foliage plants, Succulent plants were being exhibited on Oshapada ground which attracts the attentions of the viewers.

Sri.MakarandaMuduli, Honourable MLA Rayagada graced the occasion as Chief Guest and inaugurated the event. Sri Mazhar Beig Unit Head and President Utkal Alumina, Mrs. Hina Beig President Ujjwal Utkal Ladies Club host the event along with the senior management of Utkal Alumina. Employees, Family members, children, of Utkal Alumina and partner establishments have witnessed the occasion and enjoyed the evening.

Sri. Muduli, MLA Rayagada, praised Utkal Alumina for organising such a lovely event that is concerned with the preservation of nature.He applauded the work of Utkal Alumina’s community development programs, which are transforming the lives of the Kashipur  in the areas of health, education, livelihoods, social development, and village infrastructure.

Mrs. Hina Beig, President of Ujjwal Utkal Ladies Club joyfully amalgamated her feelings towards organising such beautiful event which is dedicated to the mother nature, human lives and values.

“It is a first-of-its-kind programme at Utkal where we encourage and push our people and community to promote and preserve ecology and environment in this tribal hinterland”  as mentioned by Mr. Mazhar Beig, Unit Head and President Utkal Alumina International Limited. Additionally, he underlined that this show would educate our people and the community about home gardening as well as foster a positive attitude.
