Girl Ends Life Fearing Humiliation After Nude Pics Go Viral

Khurdha: In an unfortunate incident, a minor girl died by suicide in fear of social humiliation after her nude pictures went viral on social media.
The incident has been reported from Khajuripada under Nirakarpur police limits in the district.
The girl studying in Plus Two got humiliated after a youth posted her nude pictures on social media platform. The youth also threatened her family members to kill them if they complain before the police.
However, family members had lodged a complaint with police in this regard. But, police did precious little to save the girl and her family. Being harassed over the police inaction, the girl consumed poison on Friday night.
She was immediately admitted to district headquarters hospital where doctors declared her dead.
team of police led by Khurdha SDPO on Saturday visited the village and launched investigation.
Meanwhile, villagers questioned police inaction even though a complaint had been lodged much earlier on the matter.
