Berhampur Police Crack Murder at Regidi Chak Berhampur, 3 Arrested

Berhampur: Police have successfully cracked last Tuesday brutal murder of, Purna Chandra Nahaka 42years old man of Village Ramasa Narayanpur under Purusottompur PS,Ganjam.
Police today arrested the accused those identified as Bhima Behera,29 of Village Rishipur , PS . Purushottampur, Ganjam,Sagar Behera,26, Villlage Rishipur , PS . Purushottampur, Ganjam and Krushna Behera,50 of Village Rishipur Ganjam .
Today, Berhampur SP Saravana Vivek M said, “We have arrested the accused by our Sadar Police team and seized Weapon of offence – Iron Sword ( 2 ) TVS Victor Motor cycle of the deceased.
Further he added that, there was acute enmity between the accused persons and the deceased Purna Chandra Nahak in village Rishipur . Deceased Krushna Chandra Nahak had previously assaulted the accused Persons in the month of June , 2022. From that date the accused persons were searching for an opportunity to murder the deceased. Case On 13.9.2022 , deceased had to attend the POCSO Court Berhampur related to a previous case where he was arrested . Accused Bhima Behera was also to attend the same court. As per the previous planning , accused Bhima Behera informed the other accused Persons about the court date and also informed them the deceased Purna Chandra Nahak left for Berhampur in his motor cycle alone at about 10.10 A.M. , As per the previous planning , the accused .Bhima Behera accompanied the another 3 accused persons and chased the deceased from village Rishipur and on the way between Brief of the Regedi to Gola Chandipadar finding the loneliness obstructed the deceased and assaulted by means of sword on his head and legs at about 11.30 A.M. resulting in severe bleeding injuries and left the spot in two motor cycles by throwing the sword .
After that, the accused Bhima Behera informed the complainant Minati Nayak over mobile that, they had murdered her husband. The deceased was shifted to MKCG medical college and while undergoing treatment he succumbed to the injuries. The accused Bhima Behera along with 3 others committed the murder. Accused Sagar Behera and his father Krushna Behera are liable for conspiring the offence along with others. Sincere steps are being taken to apprehend the other 3 main accused Persons and other conspirators.
To – day 15.09.2022 the above noted three accused persons are being forwarded the court.
The investigation of the case is on progress and the other accused persons will be apprehended soon Vivek said.
Case was filed by MinatiNahak ( 32 ) wife of deceased Purna Chandra Nahak of Vill / PO – Ramasa Narayanpur , and police have registered a case u/s. 147/148/294/506/302 / 120 ( B ) / 149 IPC / r.w . Section 3 ( 2 ) ( v ) / 3 ( 2 ) ( v – a ) of SC & ST ( POA ) Act .
