COEB ORGANIZED A NATIONAL SEMINAR ON RENEWABLE ENERGY.

Bhubaneswar:The department of Science & Humanities of the College of Engineering Bhubaneswar (COEB) organized a National Seminar on “Renewable Energy for Sustainable Development in India: Current Status and Future Prospects” on September 14th, 2022. Shri Trilochan Panda, MD, GRIDCO, Odisha, joined the seminar as Chief Guest. In his address, he said that the energy sector in India is in good shape and also growing to meet the future demand. He focused on making the energy sector sustainable by creating more awareness and regulations.

Shri Chandrasekhar Mishra, Chairman, Solar Energy Society of India, Odisha Chapter, joined the event as Guest of Honour. He is of the opinion that the future lies in renewable energy, in addition to all other existing energy sources. Switching to renewable energy is the need of the day.

In his address, Mr. Prabhat Ranjan Mallick, Chairman of KGI, expressed the various potentials available in the country to achieve sustainable development through renewable energy. He also felicitated all the dignitaries with mementos and shawls as a token of love and affection.

This seminar also witnessed the address by Prof. (Dr.) Sadasiv Dash, GM KGI, and Prof. (Dr.) Subrat Kumar Mohanty, Principal COEB. In the beginning of the seminar, the welcome address was given by Prof. (Dr.) Ippsita Mishra, Convener of the seminar, and at the end the vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. (Dr.) Namita Mohapatra, HoD, Science & Humanities. The event was anchored by Prof. Sagarika Dash.
