Berhampur Police act on time;Successfully Dectected Burglary

Berhampur: The Berhampur Police has successfully detected burglary cases and arrested seven persons in this connection Monday. The Police has also recovered a major part of the theft items including gold and silver jewelry and cash.
The case pertains to Somanath Nagar from where the burglars had committed the offence of breaking into the house of complainant Sulochana Patro and theft of gold ornaments of approximately 592 grams, silver ornaments of 200 grams and cash worth 11 lakhs. The second case pertains to Tulasi Nagar Seventh lane, where the burglars broke into the house of the complainant Satya Narayana Padhi and took away silver articles of approximately 500 grams and Rs 5000 in cash.
Based on criminal intelligence and investigation, the Berhampur Police with valuable technical inputs, arrested the perpetrators Sk Sakir, Sk Noor, Sk Jakir and Sk Imran involved in the two burglary cases. Three other persons namely N Arun Kumar of Gandhi Nagar, K Narayan Achary and V Sairam were arrested for purchasing the stolen gold from the burglars.
The Police recovered; One Suzuki Gixxer , SF Motor cycle bearing Regd.No.OD07AH 6366, Gold ornaments i.e. Gold Chain with locket- 7.21 grms,Finger ring- 03.97 grams , 2 pairs ear rings- 08.66 grams, Jigir Locket with stone- 19.16 grams ,Gold Rulli ( Bola ) – 2 Pieces- 32.22 grams,Gold Chain with stone locket- 12.67 grams, Gold coin of ICICI Bank- 20 grams ,Gold Ear rings with green and pink stone- 16.65 grams, Gold chain- 09.45 grams , Gold small piece- 0.6 grams, Gold part of bangle ( Sankha ) – 03.58 grams, Single piece of ear rings- 02 nos- 04.03 grams, Gold chain with locket- 25.010 grams, Gold Maharani Hara- 21.120 grams, Gold chain- 07.950 grams, One gold biscuit having 40 grams , One Gold rope chain weighing 12.280 grams , One gold round ear ring having weight 4.5 grams and One finger ring with stone having weight 7 grams ,One gold ear ring having weight 5.71 grams and Four numbers of gold finger rings , Silver ornaments i.e. Silver Paunji- 2 pairs , Silver Khadu 1 no , Silver plate I No, Silver coin- 8 numbers , Silver glass – 1 , Silver bowl – 1 , Toe rings- 2 pairs , One SBI ATM card bearing No. 6074310203736302 stands in the name of Satya Narayan Padhy .Cash Rs.94,000 /.
The investigation is still continuing and the other stolen articles are yet to be recovered.The Police will bring the accused on remand for further investigation, informed Berhampur SP Dr. Saravana Vivek M.
