Sweepers Thronged into Road for Illegal Arrest on Car Burnt Case

Paralakhemundi- Untowards incident caused havoc,where sanitation cleanliness stopped by sweepers of Paralakhemundi Municipality.As an incident of burnt of 7 cars where case lodged at Paralakhemundi Model Station & subsequently police arrested 6 persons of Ghasisahi. As a result today whole sweeper community thrilled into road & gheraoed at Paralakhemundi Municipality. Such massive relay hovered down cleanliness,where garbages dumped at various places of town. On 23rd May night some miscreants torched 5 cars,parked at Townhall & 2 cars had been destroyed.Parala Police started investigation to trace out those goons & sent forward 6 persons to court.
As a consequence more than hundred sweepers stopped their daily cleaning & gheraoed Municipality.Chairperson of Paralakhemundi Municipality Council, Nirmala Sethy reached at spot & tried to consolidate the matter. But they are defiant on their mass rally,till they get justice.Despite repeated request by her, they,too,turned heed. Sanitary Inspector, Laxman Rao said that about 150 sweepers are on their strike. They should have applied for leave or taken prior information from authorities for strike. Without any notice they piled up on leave,which is illegal.
