Youth arrested in connection with attempting Murder charges

Berhampur:A youth was arrested by the Bada Bazar Police in connection with attempting murder charges on Wednesday.The accuse has been identified as Ashirbad Nayak @ Buka (22) S/o Late Jogendra Nayak of Pandab Nagar Hadi Sahi, Old Berhampur,under Bada Bazar police limit.
Basis on the informant Sameer Jena (20) S/o Rajendra Jena of Prahallad Nagar 4th Lane. Old Berhampur, Bada Bazar police registered a case and started investigation.
Police have seized One Iron Sword measuring 28 inches.,Remnants of Exploded Hand Bomb and Two Numbers of Live Hand Bombs from the possession of Buka Nayak.
According to release the above noted case was registered on 03.04.2022 against the accused named above as he has attempted to kill the complainant and others on 04.04.2022 at about 11.50 PM at Prahallad Nagar Chhaka by throwing 4 number of live bombs aiming towards them. During investigation, the accused was arrested in the early morning of 07.4.2022 from Paralakhemundi. He was interrogated and he gave recovery of two number of live bombs and the above sword which was kept concealed at the back side of his house. Due to the Explosion, the complainant Sameer Jena and four others have sustained injuries and discharged from hospital after treatment. The accused is being forwarded to court today. Investigation of the case is in progress to ascertain the motive of assault, the place of procurement of the bombs.
