Both ULBs Captured by BJD in Gajapati

Paalakhemundi-On urban local body council elections held at Paralakhemundi Municipality & Kashinagar NAC are under BJD. On Chairperson election Nirmala Sethy trounced her  nearest BJD candidate MRajeswari by more than 6000 votes.Where as Congress Candidate not touched 4 figures mark got 772 votes. Out of 16 wards BJD captured 13 wards.In no 1 PApallamma, 2 KJhansi,  3 Bibhuti Bhushan Behra,4 Balkruhna Patra,5 Nagabansa Niladri, 6 GVenkataramana, 7 Dharitri Sabar, 8 KRohini, 9 E Narayan Raobehra, 11 Prasanna Patra, 12 PUmasankar, 13 Lenka Madhu, 14 Jyotirmayi Das, 15 Sujit Tripathi & 16 VRamarao. On 10th ward Sakuntala Sethy remained uncontested from BJD. In 2 wards ie 3 & 4 won by BJP, rest wrested by BJD.

Similarly at Kashinagar NAC MSudharani of BJD won against KDivyanka by 984 votes. Out of 13 BJD acquired 9 wards.

For this victory MP Chandrasekhar Sahu, District President of BJD Pradip Nayak, Tirupati Panigrahi, ZP President G Tirupati Rao, Tirupati Panigrahi, Er. Rupesh Panigrahi, Basant Dash conveyed compliments to newly elected Chairpersons & Councillors of both ULB Council.
