Paralakhemundi-On behalf of Gajapati district administration centenary celebration of Mahatma Gandhi’s visit to Odisha,held at conference hall of Collectorate.Chaired by Lingaraj Panda Collector, among others Purnachandra Mahapatra,Binod Chandra Jena, Bichitrananda Bebarta, Asalata Panigrahi, Dr.Kalyani Mishra, Bhagabat Padhi, Jagadish Mahapatra were present.Speakers shared their views on Mahatma Gandhi’s visit of Odisha & Paralakhemundi on last part of March 1921 where he attended a meeting at Gopalkrushna Pathagar. There a statue with Gandhi’s Ekadash Brata excavated. But that message of Ekadash Brata stone is missing. So participants shocked on such missing. Collector Panda informed to trace out the the message filled stone to re-install at that place. Further regarding promoting library in 5 blocks related to groom those students & public to acknowledge on Gandhi’s Odisha visit particularly his speech details. To make wide spread through Culture department this can be promoted to gain knowledge for students particularly.
