Notorious Criminal Pabitra Arrested

BERHAMPUR: Bada Bazar police on Tuesday arrested one notorious criminal Pabitra Jena,S/o Prafulla Jena, of village Boirani, PS-Kabisurjyanagar,Ganjam.
According to a Senior police officer,during blocking in the intervening night of 21/22.03.2022 at about 1.30AM Sub Inspector Ranjit Kumar Dash, along with staff of Bada Bazar PS at 1st Gate noticed the noted Pabitra reversing his vehicle towards Kukudakhandi.The police persons intercepted his movement.
During the path of action by Cop the accused attempted to kill the police staff by opening fire from his pistol. Fortunately there was misfiring. The police staff apprehended the accused with his motorcycle and recovered two country made pistols from his possession.
The accused was arrested and forwarded to court on Tuesday. Investigation of the case is in progress to ascertain the source of procurement of the fire arm and its destination.
