Bank Staff Member with Trading of Narcotic Drugs

Bhubaneswar:On the basis of intelligence input, a raid was conducted by team of STF, Bhubaneswar on 21.03.2022 near village Banka Palasa under Kishore Nagar PS jurisdiction Dist. Angul against illegal transportation/possession of Narcotic Drugs and apprehended two accused person namely Sushanta Kumar Sahoo S/o. Krushna Chandra Sahoo of Banka Palasa PS. Kishore Nagar Dist. Angul (presently working as Clerk cum Cashier in State Bank of India, Kishore Nagar Branch) and Jugal Sahoo, 32 years S/o. Lokanath Sahoo of village Sanjamura PS. Kishore Nagar Dist. Angul.
During search Ganja weighing 165 kg, one SBML Gun, one Mahindra XUV 300 Car, One Pulsar M/c and other incriminating materials were recovered & seized from their possession. The accused persons could not produce any document or authority for possession such contraband Ganja, for which they have been arrested and is being forwarded to the court. In this connection STF PS case No. 08/2022 U/s 20(b)(ii)(c)/29 of NDPS Act 1985 r/w. Sec.25/27 Arms Act has been registered. Investigation is on.
Since 2020, STF in the special drive against narcotic drugs has seized more than 50 Kg of Brown Sugar/Heroin and more than 91 quintals of Ganja /Marijuna and arrested more than 130 drug dealers/peddlers.
