MARRIED WOMAN BURNT ALIVE BY LOVER IN DHENKANAL

Dhenkanal: In a shocking incident a man allegedly set his married girlfriend on fire alive in Dhenkanal district of Odisha on Tuesday. The incident took place in Muktapasi area under Kamakhya Nagar Police limits in the district.
The accused has been identified as Tuku Biswal alias Ravi of Gadapalasuni village under Parajanga Police limits.
As per reports, for the last two years, Ravi was in love with a married woman of Purukia village under Banrapal Police limits in Angul district. The relationship started from a missed call and later the two had maintained physical relationship.
However, on March 12 Tuku brought the lady to the forest area near Muktapasi village and started beating her as he suspected that she was in relationship with another guy. And as she fainted, he put some dry leaves on her and reportedly set her on fire.
Fortunately, the woman was still alive and the locals rushed her in a critical condition to Kamakhya Nagar Medical. As her condition deteriorated, she was then shifted to Dhenkanal Head Quarter Hospital but as her condition did not improved she was again shifted to SCB Medical in Cuttack.
After getting information, Kamakhya Nagar Police initiated probe and arrested the accused. Investigation by the scientific team as well as Police is underway.
