Paralakhemundi-On behalf of district administration sensitization on eclipsing child marriage organized.Participants among priests from various religions, religious leaders attended.
Sangramsekhar Panda, ADM graced on the occasion as chief guest. He highlighted on pros & cons on child marriage which tarnishing model society. So need of sensitization at block, panchayat & village level he requested. DCPO Arun Kumar Tripathy opined on objectives of workshop where the role of parents to check such disease like child marriage. Gynecologist Dr. Sandhyarani Panigrahi as guest of honor quipped on danger of health on below age marriage which will reduce health & other aspects. Hiranya Kumar Ray, Chairman of CWC stressed on various acts related to child marriage. ASP Bamadeb Singh narrated on child marriage act-2006. CDPO Gouri Nayak detailed on various steps taken to stop child marriages & sensitization in the grassroots. Bikash Kumar Meher of Action Aid, quantified on data analysis on district,state & nation level focussing child marriage issues. Sai Prasad Samal, too,sublimed on child marriage Act to build healthy couple & family. Sanjukta Tripathy of UNFPA conveyed vote of thanks. About 72 participants among priests & religious sector from various religions attended.
