Robbers Gang Busted in Berhampur

Berhampur:The police arrested five member criminals had committed the robbery in different police station limit under Berhampur police district.
Police have seized. one Kati,2Nos of Iron rod 3 nos. Of live bombs in a Poly-Bag preserved with paddy husks, Two empty Royal Stag empty liquor bottles,5 nos. of use & throw glasses, 5 nos. of empty mixture jerry packets ,Two small torch lights,Gold ornaments of 40 Gms,Silver ornaments of 2.6 KG.,Indian Currency Coins of an amount of-Rs.5,000/-Currency Notes of an amount of- Rs.15,000/-from their possession.
The accused were identified as Ch.Rambabu (21),S/o. Ch. Krishna,S.Srinu (19), S.Ganesh (40),Ch.Sena babu(19), ,P.Narasingha (19),all are Village Sukunda ,Enadri Sahi under Bada Bazar police station,Berhampur ,Dist.Ganjam.
Police said,On 03.03.2022 while performing N/P duy, the staffs of Golantahra PS received information regarding a plan of some persons to commit Dacoity in the dwelling houses of the Kanisi Hat Area. On that information the Night Patrolling party conducted raidat the spot. Seeing the police party the accused persons hurled two hand made bombs to the police with an intention to kill them and escape from the spot. After a little effort the Police could able to apprehend the above noted 05 accused persons and searched the place. During the search of the area Police found the above noted arms, bombs and other incriminating articles (Sl. No-1 to 07). Police seized those articles and brought to PS for legal actions. During the investigation of the case the accused persons were thoroughly interrogated. On interrogation the accused prsons confessed their complicity in commission of other series of burglary in different PS areas in the last 06.07 months in Berhampur Police district. On verification of the spots as per their confessional statement it was ascertained that they had committed the crimes around 20 cases.
