Sunabeda; 15/02/2022: It is ironic that the people responsible for our comforts usually lead a miserable life. For example, the bricklayers and their family members live in a small room covered with thatch or polythene while the bricks produced by them are used for the construction of luxurious buildings. However, volunteers of the Koraput district branch of Indian Red Cross Society and Junior Red Cross Society, reached out to these poor people working in brick kilns in Semiliguda block and various parts of Padmapur panchayat and distributed Hygienic kits to them . The Hygienic kit includes five numbers of bathing soaps, laundry soaps, toothpaste, toothbrush, coconut oil and napkins. Biscuit packets were also distributed to the children. Life Members of the Indian Red Cross Society Sheikh Ibrahim, Shaheda  Parween  Red Cross volunteers Bijay Kumar Sahu, Govind Ballabh Padhi, Chintamani Pristy and Naveen Kumar Chowdhury visited the area and distributed health kits to the families of the workers. In addition, members of the Red Cross organized an awareness campaign on Pandemic COVID-19 and suggested to wear masks to protect themselves from Corona virus, maintain social distance and wash your hands frequently with soap.
