DRM, VISHAKHAPATNAM VISIT KORAPUT FOR REVIEW OF DEVELOPMENT WORKS.

Koraput, 12/2 (Uttam Nayak) The DRM of Vishakhapatnam Railway Division today visited Koraput on a special train.  While touring the area and hearing the grievances of various railway stations and related people, he will be briefed on the problems that can be solved by his office as well as other issues.  At present, there are no plans to run any new trains through Koraput, but in the next few days for the development of tourism, there will be two Vishtadam coaches on the passenger train from Visakhapatnam to Kirandal, which are still running.  In particular, he held talks with Koraput district collector Abdal M Akhtar today to require railway land for the construction of a bypass road on the National Highway through the city of Koraput and to build LHS in some important places along the railway line.  He also reviewed the progress of the Jeypore-Nabarangpur and Jeypore-Malkangiri railway projects.  Mr. Shatapathy informed that he is preparing for the Koraput visit by the General Manager of the Railway Zone on the 27th.  Sheikh Ibrahim, a member of the Koraput Development Council at the railway station, demanded the reopening of the closed trains through Koraput and the resumption of new rail services from Koraput to Bhubaneswar, said Sheikh Ibrahim, secretary of the council.  Sunil Kumar, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager AK Tripathi, Senior Divisional Personnel Officer RNA Parida, Senior Divisional Security Officer Praveen Bhati were prominently present.
