Central University of Odisha Celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Divas

Sunbeda:03/11; On the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Divas, Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Cell, Central University of Odisha in association with Mahatma Gandhi International Hindi Vishwavidyalaya, Wardha, Maharashtra organized a webinar titled Rastriya Ekta Divas: Contemporary Relevance’. Vice Chancellor of Central University Prof Sharat Kumar Palita presided over the meeting and inaugurated the webinar. Vice Chancellor of Maharaja Shriram chandra Bhanja Deo University, Baripada, Prof. K.K Basa  and Professor of Mahatma Gandhi International Hindi University, Department of Education and Psychology.  Prof Gopal Krishna Thakur joined the Webinar as the keynote speakers. In his inaugural address, Prof. Sarat Kumar Palita, described India’s status as an emerging nation. He highlighted the contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in the unity and integrity of the country. Prof. K. K. Basa recalled the contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in uniting 500 princely states in Indian dominion. He explained the contemporary relevance of National Unity Day and said  that India’s cultural diversity should be used as  the strength. Professor Gopal Krishna Thakur expressed deep concern over the divisive forces within and outside India who are constantly trying to ruin the integration brought about by the tireless efforts of Sardar Ballav bhai Patel. Dr. Saurav Gupta, Nodal Officer of Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat Cell, provided information on the objectives and activities of Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat program and Dr Surya Prakash Pandey, Deputy Nodal Officer, EBSB, MGAHVV, Wardha presented the Rapporteur’s note. Dr. Asit Kumar Das, Registrar, Central University delivered the welcome address while Dr. Minati Sahu thanked the participants. The program was conducted by AT Sunny and Moushumi Jena, research scholars  of the university.
