BeDA ALL SET TO LAUNCH “GANJAM HAAT” IN BERHAMPUR

Berhampur:A coordination It has been observed that many building permission applications are pending with BeDA for want of documents. Therefore a special drive to clear the building permission applications pending at BeDA is being carried out for Building plans applications which do not need clearance of building permission committee. People are requested to come with relevant documents so that building permission can be processed. For those people who were unable to come to BeDA office on the earlier dates, another drive will be carried out on 18th and 19th February 2020 at BeDA office.
The Haat, which will come up at a total cost of Rs 30 crore, will house 66 shops and a visitors’ gallery having 3,000 sitting capacity. While both ethnic and traditional items will be sold at the haat, there will be cultural evenings regularly. All required facilities for women, children, senior citizens and physically-challenged persons will be available, besides parking systems in the proposed market area.
Total of 37 shops, which will be built in shape of a three-storied building, would be sold to people for funds generation, informed BDA Vice-Chairman and BMC Commissioner Chakraborty Singh Rathore.
Since a lot of requests were received from various quarters regarding change of date for PAGO festival due to ongoing examinations. It has been decided to shift the date for PAGO festival. It will now be held on 28th March and 29th March 2020 so as to enable students to attend.
Special action has been initiated against houses not having rain water harvesting structure. Presence of rain water harvesting structure result in recharge of ground water and also stops the flow of water to drain during rains, thus controlling urban flood. Notices to 1500 households to construct rain water harvesting structure within 03 months has been issued. Rest house hold will be covered in immediate future.
Tender for Ganjam Haat is being invited and auction of shops for add-on commercial center with 117 shops in Ganjam Haat will be started from 18th February,2020 (Tuesday). Forms will be available on BeDA website and BeDA office from 18.02.2020. (Details of project and term and condition for auction of shop attached).
The scheme for regularization of unauthorized constructions (Amnesty scheme / Sarbakhyama Jojana) has been extended till 20th February,2020. All are requested to avail this opportunity. After the deadline – any deviation will be dealt with strictly. People are informed to apply at BeDA under the scheme as BeMC is not the authorized agency for the same.
