Soumya Patnaik from De Paul School, Berhampur Secured Second Position at the ASISC National Debate Competition

Berhampur:Soumya Patnaik of class XII th from De Paul School, Berhampur secured the second position at the ASISC National Debate Competition for Senior Category-Classes (XI XII). ASISC (Association of Schools of Indian Secondary Certificate) is a registered society, for the affiliated schools of the Council for The Indian School Certificate (ICSE), New Delhi. She represented Odisha at the national level and spoke against the motion “SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES ARE ADDICTIVE AND CREATE A FEELING OF ISOLATION IN THE USERS.” Earlier she had participated in the state level debate competition wherein she spoke against the topic ” MATERIALISM HAS DESTROYED THE ENJOYMENT OF SIMPLE  PLEASURES OF LIFE” .Being an academically bright student, Soumya believes that effective communication skill is the need of today’s world.
